Andrew Sturner, President & CEO.
A seasoned executive with a proven entrepreneurial track record with more than 20 years experience building companies in a number of industries including real estate, interactive media and IVR technologies. In 2002, Mr. Sturner founded and is currently CEO of Aqua Marine Partners, a real estate investment firm focused on bringing innovation in the marine industry. AMP currently owns, develops and manages a portfolio of marinas on behalf of itself and its equity partners. Prior to founding AMP, Mr. Sturner was an early executive of two start-up ventures. He served as President of Corporate & Business Development of SportsLine.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLN), the publisher of cbs.sportsline.com. He joined SportsLine in 1995 and managed all aspects of domestic and international business development initiatives, corporate development, M&A, e-commerce and legal affairs for the company. SportsLine was acquired by Viacom in 2004. Before joining SportsLine, Mr. Sturner served as the Vice President of Business Development for MovieFone (NASDAQ: MOFN), after he sold his company, Interactive Services, to MovieFone in 1994. MovieFone was sold to AOL in 2000.
An active investor in a number of retail and technology companies and active on the boards and advisory committees of several corporate and non-profit organizations. Current portfolio companies include, www.thirdsolutions.com, Alisa's Painted Bistro/Color Me Mine and the Leverage Sports Agency.
After graduating with a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1990, he worked as an attorney in the bankruptcy, workout & restructuring department of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. Mr. Sturner received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis and is admitted to the New York, Connecticut and Washington, D.C. Bars.
Mr. Sturner is an active member of the Miami Chapter of YPO (Membership Committee Member; Mentorship Champion). Mr. Sturner sits on the Board of Trustees of Temple Sinai North Dade and the Birthday Wish, Inc.. and is a former member of the Building Regulatory Advisory Board of the Town of Golden Beach. Winner of the 40 under 40 Executives in Sports (1999 & 2000).
